In Aeropro’s R&D facility in Shanghai we have arranged a Real time HVAC test system. A real time test system is used for checking the performance and efficiency of the filter in the normal atmospheric and Environmental working conditions. The ISO 16890 test rig, is used for testing the filter parameters in a short span of 4-5 hours of time and may not exactly mimic the other environmental conditions of dust, temperature and humidity over a longer span of time.

Here the test equipment is mainly set up like an 100% Fresh Air handling Unit (FAHU system). This is a draw through system and has in place the below main components.
A duct section for bringing in untreated air from outside atmosphere. Next comes the Sand Trap Louver with VCD (Volume Control Damper) section for regulating the airflow. We next have the most important component which includes the various filter tracks for installing the Course, Fine, HEPA and Carbon filters. Next, we have the cooling coil, Mist eliminator section, Heating coil, finally the Fan section and supply VCD. Since there are 4 filter sections included, the Fan has high static Pressure. The fan speed is controlled by VCD for adjusting the airflow. The Supplied air is 100% exhausted after usage (ventilated to the outside atmosphere).
There are multiple measurement instruments arranged inside FAHU to monitor and study the filter efficiency, pressure drop, dust loading effects. The filters can be installed as per requirement and the system will monitor the real-life performance of these filters.
